GoFrogs: Balanced Effort Pushes TCU Women to 3-0 Down Under

BULLEEN, Australia -- The TCU women's basketball team moved to 3-0 in Australia with a 79-64 win over the NITP All-Stars at the Marcellin College Gym on Sunday.
The Frogs got a very balanced effort with four players scoring in double-figures, led by Jordan Moore's 14 points. Freshman Lauren Heard added 13 points off the bench with 11 of those coming in the first half. Amber Ramirez added 11 points and Ella Hellesseyscored 11, playing in front of her family.

Moore led the way with eight rebounds, putting her tops on the team for the third time in as many games in Australia. Ramirez and Kianna Ray led all players with six assists each.

The Frogs opened the game on an 8-0 run and led the entire way, including by as many as 22 points early in the third quarter. The NITP All-Stars made 31-of-39 free throws to keep their deficit under 20 points for the rest of the second half.

TCU held the All-Stars to 30 percent (15-of-50) overall and also forced 25 turnovers. The Frogs shot 43 percent (32-of-74) themselves.

The Frogs will play their final game in Australia on Tuesday when they take on the Knox Raiders at the State Basketball Centre at 6 p.m. AES (3 a.m. CST). TCU will return home on Wednesday.
