FWST: TCU's chance to win left on base in loss to Kansas

TCU baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle was waiting for a game like Sunday's.
One in which the hits never fall in the gaps or find a hole through the infield; a game in which his Horned Frogs are tested as much emotionally as they are physically. Last year's College World Series team was as gritty as they come and rarely took a deficit as a cue to quit.
So after Kansas defeated No. 1 TCU 4-3 in 14 innings in a Game 3 finale Sunday afternoon before 4,393 fans at Lupton Stadium, Schlossnagle focused on the positives during his postgame team meeting.
Of course, those positives also can turn a coach prematurely gray. ...
