FWST: TCU has much to prove on big stage

LOS ANGELES -- Boise State deserved to win the Fiesta Bowl. It played a great game.
That's what TCU's football players have been telling themselves the last 362 days. And it's true: Boise State played marvelously against the Horned Frogs and ruined TCU's perfect season with a 17-10 victory.
But Frogs players and coaches also assert that they didn't play the kind of game they've grown accustomed to the last two seasons.
The offense, in particular, fell flat. Andy Dalton threw three interceptions and the reliable rushing attack evaporated.
If there was a positive to be gleaned from the season-ending loss, it was the burning desire to do whatever it took to get back to a Bowl Championship Series bowl. ...
