FWST: TCU assistant coach out of hospital

TCU offensive line coach Eddie Williamson was released from the hospital Monday evening.

Williamson, 58, was taken to the hospital after suffering chest pains during the Horned Frogs' game Saturday.

Williamson, in his 10th season at TCU, will take a few days off before returning to work, according to TCU sports information director Mark Cohen. The Frogs don't play until their regular-season finale at New Mexico Nov. 27.

"He's doing great," Cohen said. "He's going to take it easy for a while."

Glad to hear he's out. That was too close for comfort. I hope he gets some good rest. The offensive line has been excellent. He's done a great job for TCU and I'd like to see him on the sidelines for a very long time.

One of the most important parts of our coaching staff. Every year we Churn out great o-lines and that is a direct reflection of what Eddie does with them.

God bless Eddie, can't wait to see you back out there.

Bronco fan here. Glad to hear he is doing well and I hoping he has no more problems.

Good news indeed! Glad for the off week, didn't think it'd help much being the week before the last game, but we've some wounds and a coach to heal before sealing the deal and getting our bowl assignment
