FWST: Crichton pitches TCU past Texas Tech

A pitcher sometimes needs a reminder to trust his stuff.
That's what TCU associate head coach Randy Mazey relayed to right-hander Stefan Crichton early in the Horned Frogs' game Sunday with Texas Tech.
"Two-seam tails, slider cuts, sinker sinks," Mazey told Crichton. "So just throw everything over the middle and they'll get themselves out. Can you do that?"
"Yes, sir," replied Crichton.
Crichton heeded the advice, settled down and beat the Red Raiders 2-1 in front of 4,098 at Lupton Stadium. It's the fourth consecutive win for the Frogs (6-6). The teams play at 2 today in a game postponed from Saturday. Admission is free. ...
