DMN: TCU key offseason issues: Resetting the team’s mindset heading into 2024

Football, just like any other sport has not only a physical side but a mental side as well. After TCU’s miracle run to the National Championship, expectations for the sequel in 2023 were lofty to say the least.
Players like Chandler Morris, Emani Bailey and Savion Williams had huge expectations placed on them to replace the production of Max Duggan, Kendre Miller and Quentin Johnston. This combined with TCU becoming a popular destination in the transfer portal for top players due to the run, there was an expectation for the Frogs to be elite once again in 2023.
After the Week 1 upset to Coach Prime’s Colorado, it felt like the sky was falling in Fort Worth. After losing just one game, the Frogs let things snowball out of control and could never recover. They lost their ranking, and never got it back. TCU had a target on its back in the Big 12, and teams were hungry to beat the reigning runner-up of college football.
