There are still questions to be answered regarding TCU’s depth chart. Regardless of who gets the nod to start, the Horned Frogs have plenty of depth and veteran experience, which is needed to be successful in the Big 12.
Here are 10 key players for the Frogs in 2022:
2021 stats: 33 receptions, 634 yards, 6 touchdowns
Breakdown: Johnston, who is trending towards being selected in the 2023 NFL draft, was recently named to the watchlist for the Biletnikoff award, which is given to the best receiver in college football. Johnston led the Frogs with a whopping 19.2 yards per reception and six touchdowns, resulting in him being named to the All-Big 12 First-Team for the first time in his career. Regardless of who starts at quarterback, they’ll have an elite-level primary target in Johnston.
