Des Moines Register: Wife of TCU coach will return home to Ames

DALLAS, Texas – You might see someone with their face painted half-Iowa State and half-TCU on Nov. 9 at Jack Trice Stadium.
Someone might be sporting that look, because TCU coach Gary Patterson’s wife, Kelsey, has a strong bond to the Iowa State campus.
Kelsey attended grade school in Ames. Her parents have degrees from Iowa State. Relatives still live in Iowa.
“She’s got a lot of people in Iowa who root for Iowa State,” Gary Patterson said during the Big 12 Conference media days Monday. “That trip will bring back a lot of memories for her.” ...
