3. Texas Tech - Greg Tepper: For all of the (understandable) excitement around the future of Kliff Kingsbury's offense in Lubbock, it's the Red Raider defense that has been the biggest surprise in Texas college football this season.
4. TCU - Rick Epstein: Two 1-2 former SWC and WAC old foes meet in Ft. Worth on Saturday afternoon in the battle for the Iron Skillet. The pressure is on TCU as they will have a distinct talent advantage. Can't help but remember the last time these two met at Amon Carter -- SMU left with an overtime victory.
