Daily Oklahoman: TCU sits atop jumbled Big 12 standings

The Big 12 standings are top heavy. TCU is 3-0 in the conference, then five teams are tied at 2-1 – OSU, OU, Iowa State, Texas and West Virginia.
So with the reborn Big 12 Championship Game matching the league’s top two teams, the standings are doubly interesting over years past.
“Yeah, everybody will probably wish they had paid more attention to the tiebreaker when we were at conference meetings,” cracked TCU coach Gary Patterson. “It gives another team a chance. Right now, we’re more about Kansas than we are that.”
