QB availability, improvement from multiple positions on practice agenda this week as WVU prepares for TCU​

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- No one can predict the future, much as we would all like to. And when it comes to prognosticating the timeframes of injury recovery, that statement goes double. Yet, despite those evident truths, head coach Neal Brown continues to get questions prying at every possible angle in the rehab and eventual return to action of quarterback Garrett Greene, who sported an ankle brace and wrap the size of Texas while trying to loosen up in pregame against Texas Tech last Saturday.

Greene obviously didn't play against the Red Raiders, but Brown maintains he would have been the backup had Nicco Marchiol gotten hurt. However, it was just as clear that Brown didn't want to have to make that choice.

Greene is a more athletic QB. Marchiol isn't as athletic, but manages the game well. Both are young and fairly inexperienced up until this year. Greene played well and handled the environment at Penn State better than expected. We'll see who runs out on Saturday night.
