Casper Star-Tribune: TCU faces daunting task of rebounding from loss

TCU has been in this spot before.
OK, maybe not this exact spot, but the Horned Frogs' season-opening loss to Baylor on Friday night has coach Gary Patterson remembering the 2007 season.
Then, the Frogs beat Baylor to open the season, but fell to Texas 34-13 in the second week. They had to follow that trip up with another one to the Air Force Academy -- a daunting task of a turnaround regardless of the previous week's outcome.
"We've been in this scenario before where we went to Texas and got beat then had to go to Air Force," Patterson said during Monday's weekly Mountain West coaches teleconference. "We understand how tough a place it is to play at their place, especially kind of surrounded by two games on their schedule where they could have gameplanned for us all of two-a-days."
In 2007, TCU had just four days to prepare for the Falcons and lost 20-17 in overtime, the last time the program lost back-to-back games. ...
