Casper Star-Tribune: Injuries mount along Mountain West's Front Range

Colorado State lost one of their top defensive players for a second consecutive week.

On Saturday, Rams senior linebacker Mychal Sisson broke his ankle during a victory over Northern Colorado, an injury that is expected to cost him at least six to eight weeks.

That injury came on the heels of a season-ending knee injury to defensive end Broderick Sargent in the team's season-opening victory against New Mexico.

The victories are mounting for the team that most had penciled in as the top contender to break out from the bottom half of the league standings and contend for a bowl game.
