My favorite quote so far on the Cam Newton debacle is this one from Joe Haden, Newton's roommate at Florida:
Haden spoke to the Heisman Trophy hopeful on the phone for an hour on Tuesday night. Haden said Newton, who has been accused of cheating while he was with the Gators, "is not letting this stuff get to him too much. He said, 'Joe, I got a plan and everything is going to work out for the best."'
First of all, if you're innocent, really no need for a "plan."
Second, based on his brilliant moves so far, I think the probability of this genius coming up with a plan that will outsmart the rest of the free world is relatively small.
This one gets uglier, yet more entertaining, by the day.
