12. CAL STATE FULLERTON<br style="font-weight: bold;"> Last Week: 5-1. Overall: 16-8, 0-0 in Big West. (3-6 vs. Top 25). Weekend Series: 5-1.
Even with eight players—many of them key players—suspended for violating team rules, Fullerton swept a four-game set at Hawaii. The Titans have won eight of their last nine games since their 0-4 road trip to LSU and Texas A&M. Jr. RHP Noe Ramirez (8 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 8 K) and Jr. 1B/LHP Nick Ramirez combined on a two-hit shutout in Friday's opener. Fr. OF Michael Lorenzen's two-run single highlighted Fullerton's crucial three-run sixth inning in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, and Jr. RHP/OF Tyler Pill (7 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 11 K) carried a perfect game into the seventh and final inning before Hawaii got its first baserunner on a strikeout and ensuing wild pitch. The Titans chipped away at an early 2-0 deficit in the nightcap with single runs in four separate innings, helping So. RHP Dylan Floro (6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K) improve to 3-2. Nick Ramirez drove in all three Fullerton runs Sunday in support of Jr. LHP David Hurlbut (5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K). The shorthanded weekend—on the heels of two big midweek games against Arizona State—really showcased Fullerton's pitching depth.
