UTx bought the linemen they needed in the last 2 years or so.

They went 4-8 vs. TCU in B12 play. All you need is SEC on your jersey and a bottomless source of cash and you’re all world.lol. I think they would struggle to go 6-6 in this powerhouse conference.
The bottomless source of cash certainly helps quite a bit these days. You couldn’t quite buy things back then like you can now. They couldn’t find a QB for a decade, then they just bought a couple, problem solved. Same with O-line really.

If we had an eight team playoff for the Big 12 Championship, we’d probably get two different teams in the final.

Texas would stomp a mud hole in the ass of all of our teams this year. That’s an elite team. Their line play is unbelievable. They have two fantastic quarterbacks. They have skill positions stacked up.

Meh, they struggled down the stretch against some bad to mediocre SEC teams. They’d do well, but wouldn’t “stomp a mud hole” in ISU, BYU, KSU, ASU and would be in a shootout against CU and Tech. And yes, we would give them a good game. Some of you guys bought into the media driven SEC BS.

I’m with ya there, but they are the best team in the country this year. That said, this playoff thing is going to be fun. It’s NOT about who is the best…it’s about who can string together the wins to get a title. This new format is fantastic for the sport.

Respectfully, we got a taste of crunch time elite SEC football when we played UGA in the title game. The levels of talent simply aren’t close in general. That’s not hype, that’s reality. Line play is where it’s TOTALLY different.

Their D is very stout! Consistently the best I've seen in CFB over 14 weeks this season.

Agree. SMEW could cause problems for a lot of teams for 2-3 weeks.

They did have a very favorable sec schedule, I’m not sure if they make the championship game but it would have been tougher than what they played. Go Dawgs!!

Yeah, I'm not one that usually buys the UT - SEC hype, but their DL and OL are on a different level than any that we saw this year in the B12. Their d-line depth is a major reason for their defensive success.

That UGA team is miles better than what they have this year. That was a once in a lifetime team for them. The current UGA team isn’t nearly that good.
