The Arizona Wildcats hired a new assistant baseball coach, just in time to recruit players to Hi Corbett Field.
Matt Siegel was offered and accepted the job Wednesday morning. Siegel was a four-year starter (1997-2001) at the University of Florida, where he played for current UA coach Andy Lopez. Siegel spent the 2003 season as an assistant coach at UNLV before following head coach Jim Schlossnagle to TCU. Siegel resigned following the 2006 season, and has spent the last five years working in the private sector and coaching youth teams. He will start at the UA on Monday.
Siegel replaces longtime assistant Mark Wasikowski, who accepted a job at Oregon two weeks ago. ...
