Watched the Cardinal- Padres game last night and both played well, except that Cashner was the victim of a 2-out, 2 run homer in bottom of 9th. that saddled him with the loss.
Cashner, the Padres closer, who throws 100 mph, got 2 quick outs in the 9th. but then gave up a single and the hr for a one run loss.
Matt played 3b and had a double and a rbi for the Cards.
