TCU LB Marcel Brooks thriving in new defense this spring

TCU has completed eight practices this spring and one of the highlights of camp has been the play of the defense under new defensive coordinator Andy Avalos. One player that has benefitted with the arrival of Avalos is linebacker Marcel Brooks.
A speedy athlete, Brooks was a former five-star recruit out of the 2019 class and was recruited by colleges from coast to coast. He played as a true freshman at LSU during the Tigers' National Championship season. He transferred to TCU following the season and arrived in Fort Worth in 2020.
