TCU keeps Iron Skillet in big 34-17 win over rival SMU

Jeremy ClarkFort Worth, Texas – Another strong defensive performance and timely scoring led to TCU’s 34-17 win over SMU in the 102nd meeting between the two programs. It was the second consecutive win for the Frogs in the series and 13th of the past 16 games.
TCU improved to 3-1 on the year while the Mustangs dropped to 2-2.
The Frogs had another big day with their defense, getting two takeaways off interceptions from Josh Newton and Bud Clark while not turning the ball over. SMU quarterback Preston Stone completed just 46% of his passes while getting sacked three times.
