TCU falls to Utah State 88-72
Jamie PlunkettTCU wasn’t destined to be long for the tournament world this year, falling to Utah State 88-72 in the Round of 64.
Maybe it wasn’t destiny, so much as it was a lack of execution and a failure to adjust.
The Frogs jumped on Utah State early, establishing a 16-8 lead in the first six minutes of the game. TCU looked excellent against the Aggies’ man defense, sending guys through the lane, working off of screens and getting good looks at the basket.
But as happens every night in basketball, teams adjust.
