FORT WORTH — TCU faced their toughest test of the season on Sunday and fell short, losing to defending national champion South Carolina, 85-52.

The Gamecocks finished with four players in double figures, led by MiLaysia Fulwiley with 20. Hailey Van Lith scored 21 points for TCU, but was the only player in double figures.

The game was physical from the jump, as South Carolina's length and athleticism caused problems for the Horned Frogs consistently throughout the night. That physicality and defense caused 20 TCU turnovers and held the Frogs to a season-low 33.3% shooting night.

Year 2 for Campbell. Much improved team, but obviously more to do to get to SC level.Impressed he was willing to take this game. Probably knew how it would go, but a good barometer for future growth/improvement.

I wonder if teams have to teach a certain level before SC will consider it worth the time/travel. If so, it's a testament to the Frogs' development and recruiting after year 1.
