Frogs survive and advance in College World Series

TCU hadn't gone 0-2 in their first five appearances in the College World Series. Austin Davis, Ben Abledt and a slew of other Horned Frogs made sure that appearance number six didn't end in a 2 & Q either.
Their 4-3 win over Virginia on Sunday afternoon guaranteed TCU another game in Omaha. TCU bounced back after a heartbreaking loss to Oral Roberts on Friday night, which saw the Frogs blow a 5-2 lead in the late innings.
"I think everybody was wondering what, after the punch to the gut on Friday, what this team -- how they were going to respond," Saarloos said. "And I didn't have any question about how they were going to respond. I could see it on the bus. I could see it on Saturday at our practice. And it says a lot about who they are as kids and just being resilient."
