Great article here. Pretty damning stat in here on Steffen, more we already knew about Adams, and a very intriguing nugget on Ferreira. This team is very close to great. An above average finisher and a little more consistency from a group that will develop it as they age and this could be a really dangerous side in 8 months.

Looks like a pretty balanced draw. Even the group with Qatar got arguably the best teams out of pots 2, 3 & 4.

USA has to be happy they qualified top 3. That's a tough road for Costa Rica to get through a playoff and then have to go up against Spain, Germany and Japan.

Yeah, no obvious Group of Death, or cakewalk group either. Ultimately I think Wales will round our group.

Here's hoping Lewandowski replicates his Bayern output and sends LLLa Tri home early.

As well as your point about Mexico, would love for us to beat the always overrated and easy group getting English as well. Because of that, I have no doubt we’ll play our worst game of all time then.

Thrilled with our draw. We should definitely advance and could well win the group. Hope Solo is an idiot. Sad that the greatest goalkeeper of all time in the women's game has to be such a head case.

Gio just went out with a right hamstring injury today. Barely 60 seconds into the game. Just darning brutal. Left the pitch in tears. Looked like he reached for the ball with his right foot with a little lunge to cause the injury. Hopefully it's not too serious.

He may need to just shut it down for a while and get this thing right. Feel bad for the kid.
