May be the best talent we are sending off to the NFL and the past two seasons have been awful. Coaching staff needs to look in the mirror. Stop covering for the coaches on this...

It is certainly what everyone accuses UT of but they have a long long track record of not getting the most out of talent. Hopefully we just had a temporary set back
Freshman qb,bad playcaller. Both will be improved going forward with Duggan older (not splitting time with Delton) and meacham back oN staff.

The problem is that we have gotten lousy production from the most important position the last 2 years.

whooped? Really? Lost by 3 and were driving the field to win before another ridiculous turnover...and we turned it over earlier on the 1 yard line (our own!)....not sure we got whooped...not sure that's the coach's fault either.

Was I supposed to type something here?

Cumbie should have been escorted from the building on the Monday morning after that debacle, and his crap packed up in a box and shoved out the door after him. The complete and total lack of preparation and planning for that were inexcusable.

GMFP should also be handed a flail and a hair-shirt for the inability to foresee that a guy who worked inside his program for quite some time might pick up a few tricks and insights and exploit them, and that a game plan featuring trick plays and lots of deep balls would seek to build an early lead. Additionally, as the Head Coach, he is responsible for the overall tenor of the program and how it prepares mentally for the upcoming games. SMU was obviously not taken seriously, and we paid for that.

No, there's plenty of blame to go around for what was the most embarrassing loss in the last 10 years.

This. Cumbie should have been fired after 5 or six games. SMU especially. Sewo pass was his Jump the Shark moment.

don't disagree the coach's have ultimate responsibility for sure, the turnovers killed us and I think most coaches backed into their own end zone on 1st down would try a run to get some breathing room, not expecting their running back to put it on the ground. As for some of the other plays, I don't disagree. And the most embarrassing loss is for sure Kansas, no question.
