Agreed, nothing to do with TCU, however slavery and racism have unfortunately been part of the human condition for centuries and they are certainly not unique to any particular race or culture.
A couple of months ago it was announced that Trelon Smith, Arkansas’ leading rusher last year was transferring to TCU. I don’t see him listed on the current TCU roster, did that transfer not happen?
The defense was beyond ‘bad’, take away the Duquesne game and the ‘D’ gave up an average of 38 points per game. It’s pretty tough to win when opponents are scoring at a rate like that.
Anyone who watched TCU this year and had a modicum of intelligence, understood that the woefully weak defense, not the QB play, was the major factor in this season’s underperformance. If the defense had preformed as well as the QB, the Frogs certainly would have had a few more wins.
I hope it’s Cameron Ward, who is from Texas. He played in a Wing-T offense in HS which limited his exposure and offers. Ward had an outstanding year at FCS Incarnate Word, with over 4600 yrds and 47 TDS.
Some perspective relative to Sony Dykes' accomplishments at SMU... he was able to completely turn around a program that had been through 7 losing coaches during a woeful 30 year run of futility. Based on that fact alone , I think there is a basis for optimism.
