The No. 5 ranked TCU baseball team is set to get the 2024 campaign started Friday night when they host Florida Gulf Coast in the start of a three-game series.

^^^ In answer to a question I've posed in other threads, Jamie says Bowen and Byrne will basically split time between 1B and C. Miranda may also get some play at 1B. Tolle will primarily DH when he's not pitching.

Also, two freshmen won starting roles -- Ryder Robinson at 3B and Chase Brunson in cf. They must be really good and ready for top D1 ball to have beaten out some experienced transfers.

Maxwell and Boyers are the corner OF's.

Ryder jumping into the starting lineup at 3B surprised me a bit. Like you said, dudes had to excel to keep starting spots it sounds like. excited to see how they perform in real games now

Byrne hitting 3rd is an interesting choice. I'd rather see Bowen there. Kind of don't like the prospect of Byrne clogging the bases ahead of those 4-6 hitters.
