KWTX: Former TCU defensive coordinator set to become Midway’s head coach

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Midway seems to be at the end of a long coaching search. The Panthers are set to name former TCU defensive coordinator Joe Gillespie their new head football coach.

This move is pending board approval. A board meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 29.

Several at least. Waco and University. Midway is Waco but is its own ISD I believe.

Waco ISD has two high schools. Used to have four until 1985ish. The running joke was they started allowing transfers under Gambill, hence the success he had.

Depends on where the UIL sends them this week. Last 2 years, they were in a Centex only district and did alright. The 2 before that, they were with Duncanville, Desoto, Cedar Hill and Waxahachie and they were getting their doors blown off every week.
