Don’t hate it but Arnett was someone I was really hoping would be the choice. Will be interesting if this gets done quickly.

Arnett was DC under Leach, though, so he’s used to that as well. Either seem like a good choice.Hopefully the experience of coaching defense with a high rep offense at Oregon and Boise will correspond to our offense. He had Oregon ranked 11th in yards per play, ninth in scoring, 14th in passing efficiency, 13th in rushing, and tied for eighth in takeaways in 2019. As long as he's not ok with giving up points.
This makes sense. If you can fix the defense without switching scheme the process should, in theory, be easier. As has been mentioned before by many posters, Iowa State runs a 3-3-5, and if we all woke up tomorrow to the news that Matt Campbell has been a closet TCU fan all these years and is leaving Ames for a de-motion to defensive coordinator in Cowtown, I'm sure we'd all be very happy.Every name floated so far is a stack 3 guy.

Please no…Aranda fired yet?
We went from "no particular reason to suppose we won't suck, but maybe can't get worse" to "entering season with unsubstantiated hope that we might improve, possibly a lot".HappiER...yes. we'll likely still suck, though.
3-3-5 we are screwedDoes he run prevent as his base?
Do a little research on his defenses and then get back to us. Or not.3-3-5 we are screwed
Well, it was Stanford’s band.
