You may probably think I’m a nobody and that’s okay I feel no need to justify as I’ve never been on this forum before. I’ve only been behind the scenes as a person who ensures our facilities are in competition with our rivals. Anyhow the confirmed details as I understand are that there was a meeting of Vic Bo, and two donors I won’t name on Thursday and they decided that if we lost to K St Gary would be asked to resign
He refused and they fired him

Vic and Donati sat down with P today and finalized it.

The way it happened does not surprise me Coach Patterson is not a quitter and would never resign voluntarily. It’s a bitter sweet new page yet to be written in Tcu Football history
Seriously not trying to be contrarian here but isnt what Patterson did today quitting? He was essentially fired but thats for NEXT YEAR they asked him to stay 5 more weeks. For a Coach who talks alot about loyalty and kids staying and fighting thru adversity i feel this is a bad look for Coach P and definitely not surprising as he seems like the type to go out in a blaze of fire.

I’ll wait for more facts to come out before I reach a conclusion but this is the way I’m leaning at this moment.

Who cares, the important thing is he's gone and the money people can set about righting a ship that has been listing if not sinking for years under GP's failed stewardship

I agree Steel my point is that he essentially DID quit for those on here defending him saying that he did not. He had an option to stay so this makes him just like some of the Portal quitters and such that quit on their team to go somewhere else cuz they arent getting playing time

and a certain basketball coach in lubbock had a contract and all the facilities he could ever want except for this one little clause in his contract

did the press release happen to mention if traylor might have something similar in his new extension?
True and if what @Moose Stuff has heard from others and I’ve heard from one about Traylor seeming to prefer this job, my hope is that maybe that new extension has a specific out or clause regarding TCU.

Wishful thinking I’m sure though.

I believe it is a 7.5 mm buyout

Alma mater out clauses are relatively common. Or a lower buyout.

Randomly picking a conference foe for an out clause is not
