Van Zandt out; Harris could get second start for TCU at LB
By Jeremy Clark
TCU sophomore linebacker LaKendrick Van Zandt will not play against Texas this week, head coach Gary Patterson confirmed on Monday. It will be the second consecutive game he has missed after making three starts in the Frogs first five games.
Patterson hoped to have Van Zandt back in time to face an explosive Texas offense. Van Zandt had collected 11 tackles so far this season.
With Van Zandt out, that means true freshman Wyatt Harris could potentially get his second consecutive start. Last week against Kansas State, Harris finished with five tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack. His tackle total was good enough for second best in the game.
