Is CFP really out of the question if we beat OU?

Getting a sinking feeling we are going to be playing a G5 team in our bowl game. That's unfortunately not a great opportunity for us. Playing in big nationally televised games does a world of good for recruiting and program momentum but most people will tune out TCU against UCF or Memphis..In addition, I'm afraid it would be hard for us to get excited for a game like that..We'd have more to loose than win in regard to public perception.

The reality is our national championship is this weekend...Program perception and recruiting Swagger will be won this weekend. Hope Frog Nation shows up in full force and sky high. Let's whoop that Boomer A$$ and give the committee something to think about

Oklahoma could have easily been ranked numeral 1. Nope committee puts them at #3
Tcu #11 is behind pac12 USC (lucky win at home vs Texas) and Penn State (just to push us back) and #8 Ohio State (who did they beat again? Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska, Illinois...wow..best win was a thrashing of Mich State add in a home win by 1 point vs PSU and a good road win vs Mich. Round out their schedule with wins vs Indiana Army and UNLV. But lost big twice , 31-16 at home vs Big 12 Oklahoma and on the road at Iowa 55-24)Frogs lost in Norman 38-20 and 14-7 in Ames. Unless the Frogs win by 25 points no need to even watch the selection show next week.

Then why would he want a small fan base like tcu to make it?

He doesn’t. He is a master politician, knows we have an argument about why we are at 11 and as stated earlier it’s just lip service at a point in time when a playoff appearance isn’t going to happen. You think he doesn’t know that?

The reason Herbie is so dangerous is because people want so badly to believe him.

You’re right about that last sentence. We need to totally dominate OU like they did us to have even a slight chance.

As for those other teams not beating anyone, we have one win over a Top 25 team.

I think the resume of TCU is more than the others mentioned above. Remember that 8 of the 10 Big 12 teams are bowl bound. that's 80% of the conference.

I'll wait until the last rankings to get properly russelled, but I don't car either how good a two week period you've had. There's no excuse for a two loss team to be ranked over an undefeated P5 team. None.

Herbstreit said TCU could get in at #4 if they win.

Such [ deposit from a bull that looks like Art Briles ] and lip service
Don't think he's on the CFP Committee. Those clowns positioned TCU today at 11 to make sure there will be absolutely no chance for Frogs to even be in the discussion if they win Saturday.

OU/TCU ranking is more than anything a dig at the conference and once again and it provides them an easy out excuse to get Ohio St and Alabama both in...Committee is actually praying for a Clemson, OSU and TCU win so they can drop the Sooners and set up a Clemson, Aub/Ga, Ohio St, Bama....
