I don't think anyone but the media thought he was calling these prostitutes for himself. No, this was for recruiting.
Side note that relates: I question Rhule today. Everyone thinks Baylor is going clean. But first months his assistant coach is caught with prostitutes...recruiting...

This doesn't come anywhere close to proving or disproving your suggested theory.
If someone is using an escort, are they going to do it while they're at home with their wife and kids? Or are they going to do it on the road when they're staying in a hotel by themselves?
If escorts were being hired for recruits, there's no way in hell the head coach was the one making those calls. No head coach directly participates in the dirty work. They always have a fall guy. Unless of course, the coach is secretly hiring an escort for himself.

I think they were probably for both.
All hookers were called on away recruiting trips. They have recruits visit campus all the time. Why not call them then?
He stayed at home during on campus recruiting, but he could do his thing while on the road away from his wife.
Just my guess obviously.

I agree. Frankly, I think that's pretty obvious. First, if they were going to hire prostitutes, it seems much more likely to do it locally on OVs. Second, the head coach would never be the guy arranging that stuff.
