Texas Christian offensive tackle Marcus Cannon has a treatable form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma that will require four treatments of chemotherapy with doctors that have examined his biopsy informing the NFL prospect that he has an over 90-percent chance of a full recovery, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Per the source, the mass is isolated to the pelvic area and it's the same tumor that was detected in 2006 and initially diagnosed as benign. A retest revealed that the mass has now become cancerous, though.
"He doesn't have testicular cancer," the source told National Football Post. "He never had testicular cancer. That was an inaccurate report. Marcus wanted another test and this one found that the mass is cancerous, but it's a great prognosis. ...
