Waco Tribune-Herald: Baylor bats carry load in 8-5 win over TCU

The last time Baylor clinched a three-game series over TCU, Steve Rodriguez was in his first year as an assistant coach at his alma mater Pepperdine.
That was 2000, so don’t blame the Bears’ first-year head coach if he didn’t know that bit of history.
What he knows is the present and he likes the momentum his team is building as it shoots for a Big 12 tournament berth.
With Daniel Castano throwing seven shutout innings and Matt Menard collecting three hits and three RBIs, the Bears delivered an 8-5 win Saturday afternoon for their second straight win over the No. 10 Horned Frogs. ...
