Texas in the holiday bowl, which is also in San Diego, has a program where you can buy a ticket for a military member for $60.

The reason I bring this up is because the folks on the Cal forum (http://bearinsider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52452) seem to think that Texas is gouging those prices, at the expense of the military. Actually there's some pretty powerful vitriol in that forum.

I notice the ticket program we're doing for needy kids only costs $25 a ticket. Is there any reason for the difference in price, or is this just Texas being Texas?

It's actually a $10 discount from the face value of the cheapest ticket for the game. I think it is great they are participating in this type of promotion too. The reason for the difference in the price between our game and the Holiday Bowl is the Holiday Bowl tickets are more than the Poinsettia Bowl tickets. No conspiracy here. You are gonna have to dig deeper along with all those Cal fans to find anything.
