GoFrogs: Six Horned Frogs Earn All-Big 12 Honors

FORT WORTH - The complete list of Big 12 tennis awards was announced on Thursday and six Horned Frogs were named to the All-Big 12 men's tennis teams.

Jake Fearnley and Jack Pinnington earned first team singles honors. Pedro Vives garnered second team singles honors and also picked up a second team doubles nod alongside Sebastian Gorzny. TCU also produced a trio of individual season champions, with Vives claiming the crown at No. 2 singles and Tomas Jirousek and Kaj Quirijns taking home the title at No. 3 doubles. Both Fearnley and Pinnington were unanimous first team selections.

TCU's seven All-Conference accolades were the second-most of any program.

Fearnley, a newly-minted four-time All-American, adds yet another All-Big 12 first team honor to his outstanding resume. In 2024, Fearnley has stockpiled a record of 11-2 with 10 of those victories coming on the top court. Fearnley has defeated Johannus Monday of Tennessee and Eliot Spizzirri of Texas who are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the latest ITA rankings.

A 15-4 dual record in singles paved the way for Pinnington's first All-Big 12 first team selection. The ITA National Fall Championships singles finalist has totaled 20 wins over ranked opponents dating back to the fall. The Brit has nine wins on court one and an overall record of 27-7.

Vives tallied his second career All-Big 12 doubles honor and first in singles. The junior produced a 10-9 dual singles record. He was 5-1 in Big 12 play and a perfect 4-0 on court two. Vives was the No. 6 singles individual season champion in 2023.

In doubles, Vives and Gorzny anchored the top of TCU's lineup when healthy and ascended as high as No. 2 in the ITA Rankings. The duo posted a record of 8-2 in dual play and a 17-5 overall record. They have collected five wins vs. ranked pairs.

Jirousek and Quirijns went 4-1 out of the No. 3 doubles flight in league play. Both players picked up their first career postseason All-Big 12 accolades.
