GoFrogs: No. 5 TCU Run-Rules No. 20 UCLA, 13-3
FORT WORTH – No. 5 TCU scored five runs in the first and never looked back as it routed No. 20 UCLA 13-3 in seven innings to complete the series sweep Sunday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. Karson Bowen homered and drove in five to lead the offense.

The Rundown
UCLA put together the game's first threat as it loaded the bases on two walks and an error with nobody out in the first. Zack Morris (1-0) got a big strikeout for the first out and then induced an inning-ending double play to keep the Bruins off the board.

Peyton Chatagnier set the tone for the offense with a lead-off home run in the bottom of the first. The hit parade continued as TCU batter around in the inning. Logan Maxwell beat a throw home to make it a 2-0 game. Karson Bowen singled to drive in a run and Sam Myers lined a bases-loaded single into right center for a 5-0 lead.

Two more runs crossed the plate for the Frogs in the second. Maxwell doubled for the second time in the game to drive in a run and Bowen picked up his second RBI with a base hit for a 7-0 lead.

UCLA pushed across a pair of runs in the third, but TCU got one back in the fourth on a Bowen bases-loaded sacrifice fly.

Another five spot in the sixth pushed TCU's lead to double-digits, 13-3. Bowen started the scoring with a two run home run. Two walks followed by a wild pitch had two in scoring position. Brody Green drove in Chase Brunson to make it a 11-3 game. A two-out bases loaded error allowed the final two runs of the game to score.

Morris (1-0) allowed two runs on three hits in picking up his first win as a Horned Frog. He walked four and struck out five. Caedmon Parker allowed a run on two hits and struck out one in two innings. Andrew Mosiello struck out two and retired all three batters he faced in the seventh.
