GoFrogs: Medals Collected and Records Broken on Day One of Big 12's

Morgantown, W. Va. – The TCU Swimming and Diving team collected some hardware in day one of the Big 12 Championships, setting all-time program highs in the process.

The Horned Frogs earned three silver and two bronze medals in the five final events.

THE RUNDOWN
Night one of the Big 12 Championships began with the 200 medley relay where the women's team of Tania Quaglieri, Claire Chahbandour, Jeanne Dahmen and Olivia Rhodes earned the first silver medal of the night and set a new school record (1:37.64). The men's team of Edgar Cicanci, Jadon Wuilliez, Piotr Sadlowski and Raphael Paiva Da Lima earned the bronze medal in the event setting a school record with a time of 1:24.93.

At the halfway point the men's divers hit the boards for the first-ever scored team diving event. Oliver Cazaly, Elliott Dillon and Alec Hubbard represented TCU scoring a 374.75.

The night concluded with the 800 freestyle relays beginning with the women's team. Quaglieri led the women's team off swimming the ninth fastest TCU 100 free split (50.66) and second fastest 200 free split (1:47.27). Mikayla Popham, Kara Church and Serena Gould finished off the event in third place at 7:15.82.

Geremia Freri led off the mens 800 free with a school record 200 freestyle with a time of 1:34.04. Milan Fabian, Nick Rozenberg and Luke DiMiceli helped bring home the silver medal with a school record time of 6:21.59.
TCU will be back in action in day two of the Big 12 Championships Tuesday, Feb 28 beginning with prelims at 10 a.m. EST.
