[QUOTE="JogginFrog, post: 3361405, member: 4994"] So, Frogs are 18-9, 5-11 in conference (so weird to see more conference losses than total, but that's how the forfeits work). Will be interesting to see how the post-season plays out. Assuming they don't make the NCAAs, the Frogs will be a high seed in the WNIT, which will have 48 teams this year. Making a deep run there is quite possible, and would be something Coach Campbell could build on. But I'm not sure that TCU is totally out of the discussion for an NCAA bid. Frogs are 46th in NET. Following are the 8 "first out" teams per ESPN's Charlie Creme -- with their NET ranking. 25 - Washington State 43- Kansas 57 - St. Joseph's 63 - Arkansas 47 - Villanova 61 - Columbia 65 - George Mason 60 - Cal The "last 4 in" are 31, 32, 50 & 59 in NET. The game at WVU (20 in NET) to close the regular season looms large. If they beat Tech, WVU, and likely Okie Light in the 8/9 game in the Big 12 tourney, they'll be 21-9 and in the top 40 in NET, with 6 straight wins. The 8-11 conference record looks terrible, but everybody knows the context of the losses, and with Conner and Prince back in the lineup, it's a very competitive team. What do you think the committee would say about the Frogs' resume? - "Even with the mid-season losses, they're 21-10 with good metrics and 6-1 down the stretch." - "No way a team that went 8-11 in conference makes our bracket." - "I like 'em, but I'm not willing to saddle a 5-seed with that matchup." - "After the open tryouts mid-season, we'll get all kinds of media love for selecting them."
