http://www.gofrogs.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/010918aaa.html GoFrogs: Horned Frogs Finish 9th in Season-Ending Polls FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football team was ranked ninth in season-ending Associated Press and Amway Coaches polls. The Horned Frogs (11-3) have finished in the AP Top 10 in three of the last four seasons (2014, 2015, 2017) and six times in the last 10 years. TCU is one of just five programs nationally to finish in the top 10 in at least three of the last four seasons. In 17 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson, TCU has posted seven top-10 finishes and 11 in the top 25. TCU reached the 11-win mark for the ninth time in the last 13 seasons and 10th time in 15 years. TCU closed the 2017 campaign by rallying from a 21-3 deficit for a 39-37 victory over Stanford in the Valero Alamo Bowl. The 18 points tied for the second-largest comeback under Patterson and was surpassed only by the 31-point deficit overcome in the 2016 Valero Alamo Bowl, a 47-41 triple overtime victory against Oregon. The Horned Frogs return 11 starters, including six on defense, next season. TCU opens the 2018 campaign with a Sept. 1 home game versus Southern. TCU will then travel to SMU Sept. 8 before facing Ohio State Sept. 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
