GoFrogs: Gray Crowned Back-to-Back 100m Champion

PHILADELPHIA – Iyana Gray's first-place performance in the 100m capped off a great weekend for the Horned Frogs at the Penn Relays.

Gray, who won with her time of 11.35, is the first back-to-back Penn Relays 100m Champion since 2014. She won the 2023 title with her time of 11.50.

She advanced to Saturday's finals after clocking an 11.43 to finish first in the prelims.

Not done for the day, Gray also anchored the 4x100 team to a second-place finish in the finals. Her, along with Teanna Harlin, Mikayla Hayes and Breanna Harlin, ran a 44.05 to earn silver.

Maria Bienvenu was crowned the Penn Relays Javelin Throw Champion with her winning throw of 51.00m (167-4). It's her second win this season as she also won the season-opening TCU Alumni Invitational.

The women's 4x400 team of Samarra Monrroy, Kelaiah Daniyan, Tia Williams and Amelliah Birdow clocked a 3:34.18 – good for sixth in the finals. Dreunna Washington's leap of 5.56m (18-3) also earned her a sixth-place finish in the women's long jump.

Samantha Callaway finished eighth overall in the women's discus with her throw of 48.03m (157-7).
