FORT WORTH--TCU travels north to Laramie, Wyo., to face Wyoming on Saturday at the Cowboys' Arena-Auditorium. Tip-off for the contest, which will be televised live by The MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.), has been set for 1:30 p.m. MT.

TCU, 10-15 overall this season and 1-9 in the Mountain West Conference, will look to complete a regular-season sweep of Wyoming following a 78-60 victory over the Cowboys back on Jan. 12 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Frogs hope to put the brakes on a seven-game losing streak that dates back to that victory, as well as an eight-game skid on the road.

Wyoming, 8-16 overall and 1-9 in the MWC, will aim to regroup from a long slump of its own, as the squad has dropped eight straight games entering the weekend. The Cowboys' lone conference victory came Jan. 8 vs. New Mexico, one matchup prior to their loss to TCU.

TCU owns a 9-7 edge in the all-time series that dates back to the 1971-72 campaign, including wins in six of the last eight matchups. The Frogs, who are 1-6 all-time in games played in Laramie, earned their first victory at Wyoming's Arena-Auditorium in last season's visit, a 76-68 win on Feb. 13, 2010.

Saturday's game marks TCU’s 13th televised matchup this season and its 11th on The Mtn. Broadcast duties will be handled by Ari Wolfe (play-by-play) and Andrea Lloyd (analyst). The Mtn. is available nationwide on DirecTV channel 616.

In addition to television coverage, the contest also will be broadcast live on the radio throughout the Metroplex on both 1460 AM KCLE, as well as 88.7 FM KTCU. Brian Estridge (play-by-play) and John Denton (analyst) will serve as the on-air talent. Live stats and a link to an Internet radio feed will be available via TCU’s official athletics website, GoFrogs.com.

FROG QUICK NOTES
- Hank Thorns needs only one more assist to move into a tie for 10th place on TCU's single-season assist chart with Mike Jones (1996-97) and Juan Bragg (1994-95) with 158 helpers.

- Thorns' assist average (6.54 apg) would rank him third among TCU's top all-time individual seasons. Tony Edmond (1989-90) owns the TCU record with an 8.1-assist average.

- Thorns leads the MWC in assists and was No. 9 nationally as of Feb. 7. He also is No. 2 in the MWC and No. 21 in the NCAA in assist/turnover ratio (2.71).

- As of Feb. 7, Thorns was the only player to rank among the nation's top-10 players in helpers and top-24 individuals in assist-turnover ratio.

- Thorns has six 10-assist games, four more than any other MWC player. He is one of only five players in the nation with at least six such efforts this season.

- Greg Hill is averaging 10.5 ppg over the last four games since entering the starting lineup, third on the squad.

- Garlon Green is shooting 47.4% from 3-point range, a figure that would rank No. 2 in the MWC if he met the minimum requirement for treys made. Thirty of his 44 career 3-pointers have been recorded in the last 16 games.

- TCU is shooting 51.6% from the field in its 10 wins and only 39.4% in its 15 losses. The squad owns an average rebounding edge of +4.8 in victories and is at -4.7 in losses.

- TCU is shooting 49.4% from the field at home with an average scoring margin of +8.1 ppg, compared to figures of 39.1% and -11.8 ppg away from Fort Worth.

- TCU ranks No. 2 in the MWC in 3-pointers (6.72 3pg) and is No. 3 in defensive rebounding percentage (71.3%).

- TCU is 10-1 when scoring over 70 points this season and 0-14 when failing to reach the mark.

SCOUTING THE WYOMING COWBOYS
Wyoming, led by interim head coach Fred Langley, is 8-16 overall this season and tied for eighth place in the MWC standings with TCU with a 1-9 league mark. The Cowboys have dropped eight straight contests entering the weekend. The squad, which is 8-6 at home and 0-8 on the road, returned nine letterwinners and all five starters from last season’s team that went 10-21 overall and finished eighth in the MWC standings with a 3-13 league mark.

As a team, Wyoming is averaging 65.0 ppg while allowing 66.9 ppg. The squad is shooting just 27.7% from 3-point range and has a -2.5 average rebounding margin.

Three Cowboys average scoring in double figures, including guard Desmar Jackson, who leads the team and is fifth in the MWC at 15.1 ppg, and forwards Amath M’Baye (10.7 ppg) and Djibril Thiam (10.2 ppg). Jackson also ranks second in the league in steals (2.26 spg), while M'Baye paces the squad in rebounding (5.4 rpg). Guard JayDee Luster is the team’s top assist man (3.4 apg).

LAST TIME WE MET: TCU 78, WYOMING 60
A return to Daniel-Meyer Coliseum proved to be just what the doctor ordered for TCU, as the Frogs ended a four-game skid with a 78-60 victory over Wyoming on Jan. 12. Ronnie Moss led the Frogs with game highs of 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Moss shook off a recent slump to lead the Frogs to victory, posting his third career double-double and his first ever with double figures in rebounds. Moss went 9-of-17 from the field, including a career-best six 3-pointers on 11 attempts, while helping TCU shoot over the 50.0% mark at home for the seventh time in 10 games. TCU went 10-of-21 overall beyond the arc.

Four other Frogs scored in double figures, including Garlon Green, who had 16 points. Green made three treys on the evening, the fourth straight game that he has matched his career high. Hank Thorns totaled a game-high 10 assists. Two Cowboys reached double digits in points in Francisco Cruz and Amath M'Baye with 16 and 13 points, respectively.

TCU showed no effects of its recent woes in the first half, running out to a 39-23 halftime advantage. The Frogs hit six shots from beyond the arc and posted a 21-13 rebounding edge in the half. Wyoming hung around early in the second half, cutting the lead to only 10 points after an 8-1 run in the opening four minutes, but TCU responded with a 15-1 spurt to shut the door on the Pokes.
