FORT WORTH – For the fourth consecutive season, TCU is headed to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship (May 3-5).
As the No. 6 seed, TCU will take the sand against No. 11 LSU (25-11) on Friday at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. Should the Horned Frogs win, they take on the winner of Georgia State/Stanford in the second round on Saturday.
The Frogs earned an automatic bid after winning the CUSA Championship on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Tulane. TCU has earned automatic bids in back-to-back seasons as the team won the CCSA Championship in 2023.
Additionally, three Horned Frog pairings were named to the CUSA All-Tournament team after the Frogs went 4-0 on the weekend. Hailey Hamlett/Anhelina Khmil and Sutton MacTavish/Ana Vergara earned All-Tournament honors while Olivia Clines and Anete Namike were crowned Pair of the Tournament.
TCU (29-7) went undefeated at home for the fourth consecutive year and extended their home win streak to 53 matches. The Frogs were also the only team in the CUSA to finish the season undefeated in conference play. TCU notched 11 ranked wins, as well as 11 sweeps on the season.
The Frogs spent the entire season ranked No. 6 or higher and spent five consecutive weeks ranked in the top five (March 5-April 9).
The entire NCAA Championship will be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks.
