FWST: TCU soccer aims for MWC tournament berth

The TCU women's soccer team will try to secure a spot in the Mountain West Championship tournament with a win in its regular-season finale at New Mexico (9-4-4, 3-0-2 in MWC) at 6 tonight.
It won't be easy. Lobos forward Jennifer Williams leads the league in points (21), goals (10) and shots (74). The Frogs (7-9-1, 1-4) have lost two consecutive matches, including a 2-1 loss at Boise State last Friday.
New Mexico is in first place in the league. TCU is tied with Air Force for last place. The top six teams out of seven earn a tournament bid. The Falcons (6-9-3, 1-4) finish the regular season at home against Wyoming (9-5-4, 2-1-2). If TCU and Air Force finish tied, the Frogs would advance because of a 2-1 win over the Falcons on Oct. 14. ...
