SAN DIEGO -- Caellan Carmichael didn't look like he was enjoying himself Monday during a Make-A-Wish Foundation event in downtown San Diego.
Carmichael, 13, along with a group of kids and their families, visited with TCU and Louisiana Tech players and coaches in conjunction with Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl.
Louisiana Tech receiver Quinton Patton noticed Carmichael looking gloomy and offered his Poinsettia Bowl gifts. It did the trick. Patton gave Carmichael his $300 Best Buy gift card. Teammate Adrien Cole gave Carmichael his Tourneau Poinsettia Bowl watch. Another excited kid received Patton's bowl watch.
