OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Australia's James Nitties won the Midwest Classic on Saturday for his first Nationwide Tour title, shooting with a 6-under 65 for a five-stroke victory.
Fort Worth resident and former TCU standout J.J. Killeen, bidding to earn the so-called battlefield promotion to the PGA Tour with his third Nationwide Tour win of the year, slumped to a 70 and finished in a tie for fourth.
Killeen, who entered Sunday one stroke out the lead, was trying to win for the third time in four weeks. ...
