Flip a coin and we make the playoffs? Seems far-fetched

Big 12 Conference

Contenders: TCU Horned Frogs (46 percent likelihood to make the playoff), Oklahoma Sooners (38 percent), Baylor Bears (32 percent)

The Horned Frogs can claim a stranglehold on the Big 12 conference race this weekend with a win on the road against Baylor. TCU topped Oklahoma on Saturday and has claimed a field position and defensive edge in every FBS game it has played this year. The Horned Frogs have started only 5 percent of their offensive possessions from inside their own 20-yard line, the lowest percentage in the country.

Oklahoma is still in the hunt and ranks as the most likely team on this countdown to go undefeated the rest of the way (53 percent). The Sooners have the No. 5 overall special teams efficiency rating, according to our data, and their offense has been the most successful in the nation in converting scoring opportunities into points on the scoreboard (6.4 points per value drive, possessions that cross the opponent's 30-yard line).

Baylor has been impressive in raw efficiency measures so far (No. 3 in both offensive and defensive efficiency), but they haven't been tested against quality competition yet. The Bears have played the 122nd toughest schedule to date, according to our data, and have a top-30 schedule the rest of the way.

Of course, our win was a fluke.  Now it is time fluke Baylor!
