Big 12 in position to poach Pac 12 schools?

Why would the Big 10 care? If they wanted Oregon and Washington then they'd already have Oregon and Washington. If they decide they want those 2 schools 5 years from now or 10 years from now then they will be able to get them regardless of what conference they reside in save the SEC.

The Big 10 and SEC aren't going to be leveraged by any of these other schools or conferences. They'll do what they want when they want and everyone else will watch.
Right. Trying to sway Penn St. and Michigan to change their minds is an effort in futility.
They only understand money and they know Oregon isn‘t worth anywhere close to $60m. ND can’t get $65m right now, which is why the B1G is holding everything open for them.

isn't it funny how we see this pattern again and again and again where an entity or a person keeps boxing in themselves by not truly seeing themselves

if uo and udub had that type of attraction there was no practical reason for the big 10 to not offer them when they did usc and ucla

there is a very good opportunity in front of them in the big 12 if they see the big picture

I think the mountain time zones are far enough West and would help ratings by not having the late games on East Coast. If we can get Oregon and Uwub then I guess pacific time would be ok.

Aren’t the late game’s hurting the pac 12 now?
USC/UCLA informed the BIG some time ago that they would not be playing more than 1 late game per year. The night time Pacific time zone is there for the taking if O & W will play ball.
Imagine either in a night window vs. BYU. That would be 3-4m viewers easy, which is somewhat rare for a night game.

I don't understand how Stanford hasn't come up. Surely they would get a look and be an attractive fit. What am I missing?

that they aren't as big a brand as uo or udub in football or az in basketball?

they are a great school and have as diversified an athletic department as anyone in the country, don't see how they will be able to afford all those sports if they stay in the pac, but not sure anyone wants to deal with them

Look at the Big10 taking USC and UCLA. They took the 2 best schools and passed on everyone else in the PAC. When you can hand select who you want, why waste time with a program in the middle of the PAC?

Without the Big10 wanting to expand, we will pick-up the best 1-3 schools ready to jump soon. That won’t be Stanford.

so on a scale from 1-10 how badly did larry scott scheiss over the pac 12 during his tenure as commissioner

between the conference offices black hole, the decision not to try to kill the big 12 when he had the chance, and the tv deal, who else has done this much damage in this amount of time and not been partly of willful fraud?

So the B1G raided California for TWO late games/year? B1G will tell USC/UCLA that for $60m they will be playing at 2am if that's what the B1G wants. Or they can go back to the western division of the MWC.

Mouse told BY they will pay $31.7m for any P5 teams. Then BY should take ALL the PAC except WSU/OSU. Twenty teams. Change the logo to XX. Western division is the old PAC, BYU and Tech. Western division gets a game in Texas (Lubbock) every other year. OOC games are all with the other division. All compelling games, no G5 games (sorry Ponies). Championship game between the two divisions.

In reality Mouse will tell BY who and how many he can add for $31.7m each. I would push for Cal and Stanford. #5 TV market and good academics.

Screw Cal and Stanford. They didn’t want TCU in the PAC before. Utah, UW, Oregon, and Arizona schools are all more valuable. They can rot.

Yes, but imagine telling Stanford and Cal to sit down and shut up. You two are the reason your old conference folded like a deck chair. We'll run the football operation from here on out.

Stanford, Cal, Oregon St, and Washington St are all stuck in whatever the PAC is destined to become. No power conference is going to take them.

If Arizona, Arizona St, and Utah don't get smart real quick then they may well be in the same boat.
