The cancellation of the Hawaii bowl is pretty low. That’s not an easy or cheap trip. Memphis should be allowed to recuperate the full amount from the U of Hawaii. I would hope their fans would also have some way to recuperate some of their costs.
Last year we didn’t have the information and treatments we have today. It made sense to cancel games. If transfer opt outs are an issue then the portal needs to be closed until after January 1. I understand seniors opting out along with draft guys. They need to be able to move forward, but this should be a time for guys to get playing time who are going to impact players in the future. I also have a lot of sympathy for injured players. A lot players and coaches need to follow through on their commitments with these games.

I assume this has more to do with the state of the program than covid. Many have transferred or quit.
